Blood Sugars Improved
Happy 15 weeks of pregnancy! My little bundle is the size of a navel orange, and this week has been pleasantly stress-free. On Friday, I had another endocrinology visit. I have to visit my endo every two weeks now, so I keep everything in tight control for the pregnancy.

Grab your kazoos, noise-makers, and dancing shoes…..my blood sugars improved a butt ton!!! I went from an average glucose of 145mg/dL to 106mg/dL; I couldn’t be more thrilled. All the hard work with extra carb counting and resisting that urge to eat a box of cookies all the time is paying off.
Carb Ratio Tweaking
My carb ratio still needs some tweaking, so Stacie Woods and I adjusted my lunch and dinner ratio. When you look at the chart below, you can see sharp rises that I highlighted. Hopefully a larger dose of insulin for those carbs will make those spikes more level.
Overall, things are looking positive and steady. I have an in-depth ultrasound on May 31st to make sure the baby’s organs are developing properly. We also will get to find out what we’re having. I can’t wait!
Happy Mother’s Day!
Until next time! Have a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend with that wonderful mom of yours 🙂
